The monsoon season has started and we are experiencing nothing but rain since last week, Tuesday. I love hearing the pitter patter of rain on the windows and on the roof. BUT I don’t like being under the rain. 
I don’t like my feet to get wet which is why I don’t go out when it’s raining, unless I really have to, and when I do, I wear boots.
I have 6 pairs of boots. A pair of colorful Wellies, a pair of mid-calf tan suede boots, a pair of mid-calf brown leather boots, 2 pairs of mid-calf black leather boots and a black ankle boot. I’ve yet to wear my Wellies, I haven’t been out in really really heavy rain recently and I won’t, unless I have to.
If the rain isn’t that heavy, then I wear sneakers. I love my trustee blue Chucks and my Guess sneakers that looks a lot like my Chucks except that it’s made of denim and that it doesn’t have laces.
It can be crazy cold here in the mountains during the monsoon season, the lowest temperature can reach 9°C, not as cold as in other countries that experience winter, but hey, we live in a tropical country, and 9°C is already really really cold for us. The wind is what makes it cold really, the air can be so sharp it can cause wind burns and a tendency for teeth to chatter unwillingly, which is why I usually wear a jacket over a sweater during this time of the year. When it’s really windy, I wear a scarf. 
Skinny jeans are awesome. The only thing worse than getting my feet wet is getting my jeans wet as well, it can be really uncomfortable, especially if you have to endure it until you get home and get to change. Which is why I love Skinny Jeans, they are long enough to cover the legs but not long enough to touch the ground. It also looks great with Chucks or with boots. 
I have a black umbrella, I chose black as a color instead of a brighter color because I read somewhere that lightning is attracted to bright colors, and I bet it won’t be fun to get hit by lightning, and whether it’s true or not, I don’t want to risk it, plus, black matches whatever outfit I wear, so yay.
I carry a huge bag. Because I want my hands free to be able to hold on to Lucas and the umbrella but still have all the stuff I need with me. What’s in my bag you ask? My planner, my phone, toiletries, a hair brush, headphones, my wallet, my rosary and recently, my knitting project.
In as much as I love wearing my boots, I am getting tired of the rain, I really do wish Mr. Sun would come out and play, even if it’s just for a little while.
